DENTAL IMPLANTS

The Gold Standard in Tooth Replacement

At Stone Ridge Dental, we believe that losing a tooth shouldn’t mean losing your smile or your ability to eat the foods you love. Dental implants are the modern solution for tooth loss, offering a permanent, standalone replacement that looks, feels, and functions exactly like a natural tooth.

With a success rate of over 95%, implants are one of the most predictable and successful procedures in modern dentistry.

Why Choose an Implant?

Unlike traditional dental bridges, which require the "shaving down" of healthy neighboring teeth for support, an implant is a localized solution. It involves only the specific site of the missing tooth, leaving your surrounding natural teeth completely untouched and healthy. Furthermore, the implant post acts like a natural tooth root, providing the necessary stimulation to your jawbone to prevent the bone loss that typically follows tooth loss.

The Journey to a Restored Smile: Our Precision Protocol

We take a meticulous, phased approach to ensure your implant is a lifelong success:

  1. Extraction & Foundation: If the damaged tooth is still present, we perform a gentle extraction. At this stage, we may perform a Bone Graft (determined on a case-by-case basis) to ensure there is a strong, dense foundation to support the future implant.

  2. Digital Planning & 3D Guided Surgery: Before the implant is placed, we use a CBCT (3D X-ray) in tandem with an intra-oral digital scan to create a 3D map of your jaw. This allows us to digitally plan the exact position, angle, and depth of the implant, avoiding vital structures like nerves or sinuses. We then use our in-house 3D printer to create a custom Surgical Guide. This guide ensures the implant is placed with 100% accuracy in the best position possible for long-term health.

  3. Implant Placement: Using your custom surgical guide, the titanium post is precision-placed into the jawbone. This post will naturally fuse with your bone over a few months in a process called osseointegration.

  4. The Custom Abutment Advantage: While many offices use generic, "stock" connectors, we believe in the power of Custom Abutments. We design a connector specifically for your unique gum line and tooth anatomy. This custom fit is critical for:

    • Superior Bone Health: Ensuring the biting load is distributed correctly.

    • Tissue Integrity: Creating a natural "emergence profile" so your gums wrap around the tooth perfectly, preventing bacteria traps.

  5. Custom Crown Fabrication: Finally, we design and place a custom ceramic crown creating a tooth that functions as well as a natural one.
