ADVANCED LASER DENTISTRY

Laser Care for Hard & Soft Tissue

At Stone Ridge Dental, we’ve brought the future of dentistry to Southeast Idaho. We utilize advanced dental lasers to provide our Shelley neighbors with a higher standard of comfort. By using focused light energy instead of traditional drills or scalpels, we can treat both teeth (hard tissue) and gums (soft tissue) with incredible precision.

What Laser Dentistry Means for You

  • Hard Tissue: In many cases, we can treat cavities without the heat, vibration, or "whine" of a drill. This often means less need for anesthesia, a good number of patients require little to no anesthesia.

  • Soft Tissue (Gum Care): From precise gum contouring for a "gummy" smile to treating periodontal disease, our lasers cauterize and sterilize as they work. This results in significantly less bleeding and faster healing times.

  • Cold Sore & Canker Sore Treatment: If you feel a sore starting, we can use the laser to "zap" the virus. This immediate treatment can stop the sore from developing or drastically reduce the pain and healing time.

Photobiomodulation (PBM): Faster Healing, Less Pain

We don’t just use lasers to cut; we use them to heal. Photobiomodulation is a non-invasive therapy that uses light to stimulate cells. We use PBM to:

  • Reduce post-operative swelling and pain.

  • Treat TMJ and jaw muscle soreness.

  • Speed up the body’s natural healing process after an extraction or implant surgery.

Why Choose Laser Care at Stone Ridge Dental?

We know our patients lead busy lives—whether you're commuting to Idaho Falls or working locally here in town. Laser dentistry allows us to perform procedures more efficiently with a "biologic-first" approach, preserving more of your natural tooth structure and getting you back to your routine without the typical recovery "hangover."

Did You Know?

Because laser treatments are so gentle, they are often the preferred choice for children and patients who experience dental anxiety.
